More application oriented: In addition to clear-cut growth, this year's LASER World of PHOTONICS will be considerably more application oriented than in the past.

This year's key themes are Biophotonics and Life Sciences, Lasers in Photovoltaic Manufacturing and Illumination. Instead of focusing only on individual components, the fair will also give visitors an in-depth look at entire system solutions. The fair will depict the key themes at joint exhibits, in individual presentations by the exhibitors and in the program of related events.

The World of Photonics Congress will also cover these themes in a series of application panels, the slogan of which is lasers and photonics in actual practice. These application-oriented lectures and workshops bridge the gap between theory and practice. They are broken down into three categories, i.e. Biophotonics and Life Sciences, Advanced Lasers and Light Generation in Science and Industry, and Laser Systems for Production Engineering, with special emphasis on photovoltaic manufacturing. The Application Panel schedule is available here.

Orders for catalog entries in the categories Biophotonics and Life Sciences, Lasers in Photovoltaic Manufacturing and Illumination may be placed at the Exhibitor Centre www.world-of-photonics.net/exhibitor > Marketing Services > Company Entry.
Put your company in the limelight of our highlight themes.

Other highlights at LASER World of PHOTONICS include our Photonics Forums, which are sector-specific platforms for pioneering technical discussions, expert panels and professional presentations. The 2009 fair features three Photonics Forums with different themes. The forum in Hall B1 deals with biophotonics and life-sciences, the forum in Hall B2 focuses on optical technologies and the forum in Hall C1 revolves around lasers and laser systems for production engineering. Each day, exhibiting companies will make presentations on the latest hot topics. This series of events is indispensible for anyone who wants to gather information on the latest trends in optical technologies.
