Laser material processing procedures, laser components as well as current developments and trends in optical technologies will be presented at the two-day conference "3rd International Conference on Laser Processes and Components“ in Shanghai, China on 18 and 19 March 2008. The conference will take place within the framework of the trade fair LASER. World of Photonics China.

The individual sessions of the conference are "Laser Micro Processing", "Laser Macro Processing", "Optical Components" and "Laser Systems and Laser Safety". Experts from optical technologies, who would like to speak about these topic areas, are invited to submit abstracts by 30 November 2007.

The conference is already taking place in March 2008 for the third time. As in the previous years, it is designed to promote exchanges of information between science and industry. It will again take place within the framework of the trade fair LASER. World of Photonics China 2008 (18 to 20 March 2008) in the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC). It is being organized by Messe München, the Laser Center Hanover, the Laser Institute of America and the Chinese Optical Society - Laser Processing Committee.
