At "LASER. World of Photonics China", which is being held in Shanghai, China from March 18 - 20, 2008, German companies will have a unique opportunity to demonstrate their strengths in a special show titled "German World of Laser & Photonics". Companies can apply to host live demonstrations, presentations and expert discussions in special areas.
In addition to a joint exhibit of participating companies, special areas are available for presentations of specific applications and processes. The companies that participate in the areas can use live demonstrations, technical lectures and expert discussions to showcase their individual areas of expertise and communicate directly with trade visitors at LASER. World of Photonics China 2008.
Organizers have published a call for presentations for these special areas. Experts in the following areas can apply to participate:
- LED-based lighting
- Laser applications in material processing
- Laser applications in the life sciences / Operating room of the future
Potential participants for the special areas may apply by submitting a brief description of their presentation (abstract) in English. A technical committee decides which presentations will be accepted.

"German World of Laser and Photonics" is a special exhibit organized by the BMWi (German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Technology) and AUMA (Association of the German Trade Fair Industry) for the regional exhibition for optical technologies LASER.
