LASER. World of Photonics is the leading worldwide industry platform for optical technologies for presenting current trends and products and innovation-promoting transfer of knowledge. The latest "Fact Sheet" of the leading world trade fair reflects the positive feedback from the participants of this year's event...

The consistent orientation to actual practice of LASER. World of Photonics was widely appreciated by the 1,008 exhibitors and 26,655 visitors. In a representative trade fair survey, 96 percent of the visitors rate the event as "excellent to good". The completeness and wide range of the trade fair offers, the presence of market leaders and the internationalism of the exhibiting companies got top grades. Ninety-four percent of the surveyed exhibitors also rated it as "excellent to good". They were especially enthusiastic about the leading trade fair character of LASER. World of Photonics, its orientation to applications and the internationalism of visitors - 47 percent came from foreign countries - and the high degree of quality overall. Ninety percent of the trade visitors had decision-making powers for future investments and consequently were valuable contact persons for the exhibiting companies.

The next LASER. World of Photonics is schedule for 15 to 18 June 2009. These dates are already entered in the appointment books of 97 percent of the exhibitors and 95 percent of the visitors, because they stated that they intend to take part again. Ninety-eight or 97 percent of the participants would recommend a visit to the world's leading trade fair for optical technologies to their colleagues.

LASER. World of Photonics will also show "light at work" in 2009 and consequently make applications the focus of the trade fair. Messe München and its partner are already dealing intensively with the planning for the next conference and supporting program. With that, the organizer is further expanding the functions of the leading world trade fair as a leading international information and networking platform for industry, research and science.
