World of Photonics, since then. The considerable number of exhibitors, who have been represented at the trade fair since the first event or for more than 25 years, is proof that Messe München found the right platform for the industry with LASER. World of Photonics 34 years ago.

Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director of Messe München International, honored exhibitors of many years within the framework of the opening event. The fact that such a great number of exhibitors have exhibited either since the first event in 1973 or for more than 25 years makes it clear that LASER. World of Photonics is the right platform for companies involved with optical technologies. Mr. Dittrich explained that "The success of LASER. World of Photonics is due to the fact that its concepts have been developed further in collaboration with the industry and that it continually took up new topics important for the companies. The global market meets here, successfully business relations are established and business is made."

LASER 2007. World of Photonics closed its doors with its best result ever on 21 June 2007. More than 1,000 exhibitors and more than 26,000 visitors came to Munich. The trade fair halls were unsurpassed meeting places for decision-makers, developers and scientists.
