LED TECHNOLOGY FORUM
- accompanying program of electronica & Productronica China -

Compared to CCFL BLUs (cold cathode fluorescent lamp back light units), LED (light emitting diode) BLUs feature wider color gamut, higher contrast, and a faster response rate. LED BLUs also consume lower power and conform to the RoHS standard. These significant advantages of LED BLUs over CCFL BLUs are currently fueling demand for the segment. Still the LED BLU industry continues to face technical issues, such as among others in optical lenses, heat dissipation, MCU control, drivers, and power regulation.

In the light of these technical challenges, as well as to promote the promising LED BLU industry, EDN China held the "LED Technology Forum". The forum, which aims to bring key industry players in the LED industry to engage in discussions on the latest technologies and developments in the LED BLU segment, took place on March 17, 2010 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Forum Topics:
  • LED Control
  • LED Driver
  • LED Matrix Design
  • LED Heat Dissipation
  • Technology that Enables Low Cost Solutions
  • LED Backlight Applications

Organizers:
  • EDN China
  • Messe München International
