One of this year‘s highlights is the World of Photonics Congress, which takes place at the same time as the fair. Thanks to close interaction between the scientific and industrial communities and its thematic diversity, it is the only event in the world that covers the photonics sector in its entirety.

Supported by the German Ministry for Education and Research, the congress is unique because of its scientifific orientation, which is rounded out by application-oriented events such as industry workshops.
That makes it one of the leading international congresses in Europe, and one that serves as a strategic and operative umbrella for six conferences held by international associations and organizations.
