Optische Technologien benötigen auch einen europäischen Forschungsraum.
Einen besonderen Schwerpunkt auf der diesjährigen Messe bildet daher die europäische Integration der Optischen Technologien in das 7. Forschungsrahmenprogramm. Hierzu stellt die EU Kommission auf dem Photonik Forum neueste Informationen zu aktuellen Ausschreibungen im Bereich Optischer Technologien vor. Besondere Schwerpunkte liegen dabei in den Feldern der Industriellen Technologie, Optischer Komponenten und Systeme sowie Nanotechnologie. Mit einem eigenen Messestand (Stand B2.566) präsentiert sich zum ersten Mal die europäische Technologie Plattform Photonics21. Interessierte erhalten hier Informationen zur Zielsetzung der Plattform und ihrer Mitwirkungs- sowie Gestaltungsmöglichkeit auf europäischer Ebene.

A focus of this year’s fair is put on the integration of Photonics into the European 7th Framework Programme. In the information session to be held at the Photonics forum, the EU Commission will provide latest information on current and upcoming calls in three areas of relevance for Photonics. Thierry van der Pyl, Head of the newly established European Commission Photonics unit will open the session.
