The Medical Laser Applications Conference organized by “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Lasermedizin e.V.” (DGLM) will be held in Munich on June 14 and 15, 2009 as a part of with the World of Photonics Congress and collocated with LASER World of PHOTONICS at the Munich International Congress Center. The 2009 Medical Laser Applications Conference will provide an interdisciplinary platform for professionals in medical laser applications, with special emphasis on the opinions of medical practitioners.

Medical Laser Applications 2009 will start with a novel LaserMed-Update day providing an interdisciplinary viewpoint to encourage future synergies. Medical doctors from all disciplines and all other delegates are invited to benefit from scientific updates of experience-based state-of-the-art know-how relating to clinical laser-assisted diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These invited lectures will give a broad view of the opportunities available for medical laser applications and participants will benefit from the laser experience gained in other medical disciplines.
The following day, LaserMed-SCIENCE  will present new scientific results in various disciplines. This event is aimed at experienced users, ambitious interested individuals wanting to obtain in-depth information and scientists, students, residents, postgraduates and industry.  The latest results will be jointly discussed to create  innovative ideas and to motivate actual developments in the field of experimental laser medicine (in-vitro to in-vivo studies, clinical studies, technical progress).
“Deutsche Gesellschaft für Lasermedizin e.V.” (DGLM) is a medical association promoting advancements in laser medicine. It supports research and development, as well as the evaluation of laser-assisted procedures in medicine. The Medical Laser Applications Conference will provide an interdisciplinary forum for communication beyond the boundaries of the different medical faculties and will also bridge the gap between medicine, science and engineering, as well as applications and basic science. The target groups for the Medical Laser Applications Conference are representatives of different medical faculties and medical practitioners.
