It is estimated that some 1 billion solid-state image sensors will be produced worldwide in 2007. No doubt about it: Electronic imaging is everywhere! Whether in cell phones or laptops, still-picture or video cameras, game consoles or toys, for scientific imaging or artistic documentation, for biomedical diagnoses or industrial production, for business or entertainment: Solid-state image sensors are ever-present and indispensable tools for almost every human activity in everyday life.
The “EOS Conference on Frontiers in Electronic Imaging” from 18-19 June 2007 addresses the topics ‘Application Specific Image Sensors’, ‘Single-Photon Imaging’ und ‘High-Performance 3D Imaging’:
June 18, 2007: Application Specific Image Sensors
June 19, 2007: Single-Photon Imaging
June 19, 2007: High-Performance 3D Imaging
