The Carl Zeiss Research Award, one of the world`s most prestigious prizes in the field of optics, will be presented on 20 June 2007. The ceremony will take place for the first time at the LASER 2007. World of Photonics exhibition in Munich.
Dr. Augustin Siegel, Senior Vice President, Corporate Research and Technology, emphasizes: “The international public of LASER 2007. World of Photonics is precisely the right environment for presenting the Carl Zeiss Research Award. The World of Photonics Congress, which takes place at the same time as the exhibition, offers an excellent forum comprising experts for the fields of optics and photonics”
This year, Carl Zeiss is honouring primarily international scientists in recognition of their outstanding achievements in basic research and applied optics. The sum of 25,000 euros has been allocated to the Carl Zeiss Research Award.
At the LASER. World of Photonics in Munich, Carl Zeiss is represented by three of its business areas. The Camera Lens division the Spectral Sensors business unit of Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH and the Jena Service Center will all be participating with their products in hall B2 at stand B2.403. |
