Opportunities to meet & greet are of high importance for an international congress. New contacts will be made and old contacts can be refreshed, that will establish the possibility to buildt up new cooperations in scientific or industrial fields.

The congress and the trade fair were opened by Prof. Meyer Krahmer, state secretary of the Ministry of Education and research. Before, Prof. Walther (head of streering committee), started with some introducing words with an historical review of the World of Photonics congress. Following, the managing director of MMI (Munich Trade Fair International) K. Dittrich, welcomed the visitors and underlined, that the numbers and the internationality of exhibitors are excellent. Prof. Meyer-Krahmer finally opened the congress by mentioning the outstanding importance of optical technologies for Germany and Europe.

Get Together
Meet & Greet for visitors of the exhibition and the

After the first official day of the exhibition a Get-Together event took place in the international congress center (ICM). All visitors of the trade fair were invited to join food and drinks, wheareas socializing and renewing contacts. The evening event was accompanied by music and show acts.
