WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF PHOTONICS CONGRESS

The World of Photonics Congress is the leading international congress for optical technologies in Europe and one of the Top 3 congresses of its kind worldwide. It is held in conjunction with LASER World of PHOTONICS, the international trade fair for optical technologies including components, systems and applications, so there is an intense exchange between the scientific an industrial sectors.

The next World of Photonics Congress will be held from 22-27 May 2011.

SPIE Visionary Award
SpaethAward Lothar Späth honored with the SPIE Visionary Award

SPIE has conferred its Visionary Award to Lothar Späth. He earned this special recognition through his efforts for the city of Jena’s photonics industry.

Established in 2009, the Herbert Walther Award honors Professor Herbert Walther for the seminal influence of his path-breaking innovations in quantum optics and atomic physics, and for his wideranging contributions to the international scientific community.
