LASER World of PHOTONICS China is the leading
regional trade show for optical technologies in China. It takes place
in Shanghai every year in March and presents the entire range of
photonics in an international setting.
In 2008 206 exhibitors presented their products and applications on 11,500 sqm of floor space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). 18,428 visitors attended the show. The product range at LASER World of PHOTONICS China is adapted to the specific needs of the Chinese market.
LASER World of PHOTONICS China also features a first-rate conference program and collaborates with Chinese research institutes, industry associations and media partners.
Within Laser World of PHOTONICS China, the German Federal Ministry of Economics
and Technology together with AUMA organized the "German World
of Laser & Photonics" in order to present the performance of the German
optical technologies. This event focused on the three important application areas for innovative
products of the photonics industry: "Illumination", "Life sciences" and "Material processing". In addition to this special show, a symposium was organised
where key note speakers from science and economy gave short lectures about the
current state-of-the-art science and latest technology developments in
photonics.
