Post Show Report

The trade fair managed yet again to strengthen its positionas the world’s leading trade fair despite the difficult state of the economy. With a total of 1,034 exhibitors, it experienced renewed growth (2007: 1,008) and received top marks from all participants.

On the one hand, further expansion of its range of exhibits including new main themes, a consistent orientation to business and actual practice and the presence of all leading manufacturers contributed to its success. On the other, so did synergy between the scientific and industrial sectors—by networking the fair with the World of Photonics Congress. After all, it is the only exhibition of its kind that presents technology in direct combination with industrial application sectors.
